Immersed in a unique dance music culture, Corrupt’s influence on bass and house has unlocked doors in every which way and direction. From having a helping hand in some of the largest events the north of England has to offer, to mixing in front of packed houses week-in-week-out, he’s showing absolutely no signs of slowing down, and if anything – this is only the beginning.
His signature sound of hard-hitting bass and house is unmistakable to many, gaining him much deserved attention, as well as scoring highly on some of the biggest line-ups in the country. Corrupt has played alongside Tchami, Jauz, AC Slater, Chris Lorenzo and Jamie Duggan, as well as boat loads more of the biggest names in the business.
Playing to thousands of people on a weekly basis has become something of the norm for Corrupt, not to mention the demand for his music with forthcoming releases on revelled bass label Night Bass Recordings also on Dim Mak plus music included in the tracklist of Jamie Duggan on Pure Bassline 2 compilation – his Soundcloud productions have also totted up over 3 million plays collectively, and they aren’t about to stop anytime soon.
Aside from performing and producing, Corrupt is often involved with organising some of the country’s biggest parties: Fear Fest, Parked Out, Circle Festival, Bass Fest and weekly club nights at Sheffield’s most talked about venue, TANK. Selling out way in advance, these parties are quickly becoming the UK’s hotspots for house and bass, featuring exclusive DJ sets as well as some old-school and classic live sets. Fast-becoming a social hub for dance music culture, it’s no surprise that Corrupt is quickly making a name for himself across the circuit.
2017 sees him share a stage with DJ EZ, Preditah, Taiki Nulight, Cause & Affect and many more. He’s also racking up an onslaught of releases and will continue to pack out festival tents, fields and warehouses on a regular basis. Brace yourselves, Corrupt is only just getting started.
